I have been a computer programmer for 37 years. Although I have been active in a writing group for years, this is my first full book. In the early 70's, I put my college career on hold to ride my bicycle from San Diego… to Alaska! Although I never returned to school, it was a decision I've never regretted. I was forever changed!

I spent the entire summer out-of-doors. In fact, I spent the next 10 years working as a programmer in the winter, in Phoenix Arizona, and living out of my backpack in the summer, in Northern California. You will see this “next to nature” theme reflected many times in "The Last Pirate".
